Writing a critical and good essay for college or Master Level using chatGPT requires an organized method that blends analytical thinking with AI model skills. In this video, I will provide a step-by-step guide on using chatGPT to write a critical essay without an AI score.
We all know that Turnitin and other AI detectors easily detect chatGPT content, whether it’s GPT 3.5 or 4.0. However, if you carefully watch this video, I assure you that you will be glad you did.
Hello intellects! I am glad to have you back here. So, we are going to be learning how to use chatGPT to write critical essays with real in-text citations and with no AI score in six simple steps.
Step 1: Understand and use the correct prompt. A prompt is a question or remark that inspires chatGPT or any chat box to generate ideas and thoughts. Before I show you how to prompt chatGPT for a critical and grade essay, I recommend you clear up all your chat and conversation logs on chatGPT. This is because chatGPT usually remembers their past conversations. You don’t want the AI confusing your previous chat with your new chat. Then, always use the same chat box or conversation till you are through with your assignment. First, you must feed chatGPT with the details of your assignment. You can prompt it like this: ‘I want to begin a master’s level assignment on International procurement management. You are an expert critical writer and researcher. I want us to do the research together. However, I would love to share the assessment details and marking grid with you first. Are you ready?’ ChatGPT says, ‘Of course, I’m here to help. Please share the assessment details and marking grid for your Master’s level assignment on International procurement management. The more information you provide, the better I’ll be able to assist you in crafting a strong research project.’ Then, copy the details of your assignment and paste them. You must also feed chatGPT with vital parts of your course reading materials that you feel are required to write your essay. You will likely have better grades when your essay aligns with what you were taught in class. Thank goodness chatGPT can be prompted with about 5000 words.
Step 2: Understand what it means to write a critical essay. There are two categories of essays: descriptive essays and critical essays. For a master’s level or if you want to have a good essay, your essay must be critical. A critical essay is a type of essay that analyzes, evaluates, and interprets different opinions, papers, and research articles, and then arrives at a conclusion based on your analysis. In the real sense, a critical essay is a write-up that looks at both sides of the coin, more or less like the strengths and shortcomings or consequences of the issue under discussion. This essay goes beyond description and engages with the topic. At least 85% of the paragraphs in your essay should be critical. A critical paragraph begins with a topic sentence, more like the point you’re trying to make in a simple sentence, then moves into an analysis. This is where you explore the individual aspects’ significance, consequences, strengths, shortcomings, and context, utilizing evidence on Google Scholar, PubMed, etc. A critical paragraph then explains how the data fits into the analysis, addresses counterarguments if relevant, while recognizing other viewpoints on the topic. The paragraph ends with one or two sentences that typically begin with ’therefore’ or ‘consequently’.
Step 3: Develop your outline. Now that you understand what is expected of you and your lecturer says your essay should be critical, use the outline that chatGPT has developed for you to write your critical essay. Subheading after subheading, prompt chatGPT to write critical background and justification for the choice of e-procurement in the study. Write in an academic style and be critical.
Step 4: Add sources. It will be highly unethical to write your essay without making good use of original sources. Original sources enrich your chatGPT written essay. Besides, a critical paragraph should have multiple citations. ChatGPT will not provide this for you. Copy a specific sentence on your essay and paste it into Google Scholar. There is a high probability that the first three search results must have said something similar. Open the studies and read through them to get more ideas to help make your paragraph more critical.
Step 5: Compile your reference list. I prefer to compile my reference list as I write, not after writing the entire essay. You can use any reference and citation generator of your choice. I use MyBib, which is suggested in the description box.
Step 6: Make your essay AI-free. Turn it into text AI-written essays. I have a detailed video on using chatGPT and getting zero percent AI. The video has helped many to get zero percent AI on Turnitin. It is very simple. All you have to do is use the shorten mode on QuillBot. Most of the other modes on QuillBot are detected as AI on Turnitin and free AI detectors. However, always check your essays and papers on Turnitin. AI detection on Turnitin cannot be seen on the free class ID and enrollment key on Turnitin. It can only be seen in an instructor’s account. You can, however, use free AI detectors like Turnitin. Check the description box for details.
Alright intellects, I will draw the curtains here. If this video was helpful, kindly comment a simple thank you, then like the video and share it. It will be highly appreciated. God bless you. See you in my next video. Bye!
