Using Voice Input with ChatGPT

Using Voice Input with ChatGPT

I have added a new extension to my Chrome browser. It works on all Chromium-based browsers, including Microsoft’s Edge browser. This extension allows me to use voice input when I’m using ChatGPT. Instead of typing, I can simply talk. However, in order for this extension to work, I need to use ChatGPT. If I’m not in ChatGPT, I can easily switch to it by clicking on ChatGPT. Another advantage of this extension is that once it’s installed, I no longer need to open the browser. I can access ChatGPT directly from my taskbar. It’s as simple as opening a new chat. Once the chat opens, I have a microphone at the bottom for voice input. This extension enables me to control ChatGPT using my voice.

As an AI language model, ChatGPT doesn’t have the capability to directly receive voice input. However, there are various voice recognition and transcription tools available that can convert voice input into text. Here are the general steps to use voice input with ChatGPT:

  1. Use a device with a microphone, such as a smartphone or computer, connected to the internet.
  2. Open a voice recognition or transcription app, such as Google Assistant, Siri, or Dragon Dictation.
  3. Activate the app and start speaking your commands to it.
  4. The app will convert your spoken commands into text and send them to ChatGPT.
  5. You can view ChatGPT’s responses on your device’s screen or through text-to-speech output.

It’s important to note that the accuracy of voice recognition and transcription can vary depending on factors such as ambient noise, accent, and speech clarity. It may take some practice and adjustment to get the best results.

This extension not only enables voice input but also provides voice output. It’s a convenient tool for those who prefer using their voice instead of typing. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Stay safe and secure!

Bard: Google’s Answer to ChatGPT

Here’s my first question directed at Bard, followed by the answer I received:

Question: Tell me more about Bard and what’s the acronym for?

Answer: Bard is a large language model from Google AI. It’s trained on a massive dataset of text and code to generate text, translate languages, write creative content, and answer questions in an informative way. Bard is still under development but can perform various tasks. The acronym for Bard is Bidirectional AutoRegressive Decoder. This means that Bard is a bidirectional model that takes into account the context of words before and after the word it’s generating. It’s also an auto regressive model that generates one word at a time based on previously generated words. Bard is continuously learning and improving to fulfill requirements and help people learn and create.
