In session 4, I created the Charge GPP assistant using Pictoblocks with the Python GPT extension. The assistant allows users to ask for definitions and utilizes a text-to-speech function and Chuck GPD for translating text into multiple languages.
To start, we set up the scene with Toby, our favorite Sprite. We choose a backdrop and position Toby accordingly. Then, using the text-to-speech function, Toby reads aloud an intro message in English. After the English message, we use the translate language function to display the intro message in Greek and French.
Next, we wait for user input to ask for a definition. The program waits for the user to type the definition they want. Finally, we take the response from the Charge GPP assistant and display it on the terminal. We can see the answer on the scene and hear Toby speaking.
To run the program, we connect to the chatGPT and ask for a definition. We can also translate the message into Greek and French. For example, let’s ask for a definition of Quantum Computing.
Quantum Computing is a field of computer science that utilizes the principles of quantum mechanics to perform computational tasks. Unlike classical computers that use bits to represent and process information as ones and zeros, quantum computers use qubits, which can represent a combination of both one and zero simultaneously. Quantum computers have the potential to solve certain types of problems much more efficiently than classical computers, making them promising for applications in various fields such as cryptography, optimization, drug discovery, and materials science. However, Quantum Computing is still in its early stages of development, and building practical large-scale quantum computers with error correction remains a significant challenge. Nonetheless, researchers and technology companies are actively exploring and advancing Quantum Computing to unlock its potential.
