Using ChatGPT to Earn 50,000 Rupees

Today, I will share with you how we used ChatGPT to earn 50,000 rupees. This video focuses on the practical aspects of our journey, including the complete execution of our idea, insights into how a startup works, and the process of creating a product.

One day, while watching videos on YouTube, I received a message on Instagram. The message was from someone who had an upcoming exam in 8 days but hadn’t studied anything. They asked for our help. This message was followed by several others, all requesting assistance in preparing for exams.

This inspired an idea. Since there are 4 subjects in the 2nd and 3rd year, totaling 8 subjects, I thought of analyzing previous papers and creating importance for each subject using ChatGPT. By offering the importance for free, we could help people. Those who needed solutions could purchase our 500 rupees course. Thus, we planned to create two courses for the second year and four courses for the third year, with a target of selling 20 courses, generating a revenue of 10,000 rupees.

However, there was a challenge in executing this plan. I only had knowledge of 4 subjects, while Advait was the only one who had knowledge of the remaining subjects. I shared the idea with Advait, and he agreed it was good but questioned if we could accomplish it in such a short time. I assured him that we could create the importance from previous papers and provide solutions using ChatGPT, which would take approximately 5 hours.

To execute the plan, I divided it into three steps. The first step was to create the importance, which involved analyzing previous papers, studying the syllabus of Mumbai University, and making predictions based on the analysis. I also organized the importance model-wise to make it easier for others to use. However, creating the importance for just one subject took an entire day, leaving me exhausted.

The next step was to create solutions using ChatGPT. Initially, I was excited as ChatGPT provided quick answers for simple questions. However, when I encountered more complex questions, ChatGPT struggled to provide accurate answers. I realized that the generic answers it generated did not align with the context of my syllabus. Additionally, ChatGPT did not support the inclusion of images, which were essential for notes. Numericals and sums also posed a challenge. Despite my efforts to guide ChatGPT, it continued to provide incorrect answers. This process consumed my entire day, making me realize that the work was more difficult than anticipated.

Realizing the limitations of ChatGPT, I decided to create a new recipe for solutions. This involved using ChatGPT as a reference but also referring to books, watching videos, and solving problems manually. I converted the handwritten solutions into digital notes using Microsoft Word. This process took 2-3 days, but it ensured the quality of our solutions.

With the importance and solutions ready for one subject, we focused on marketing. We created a YouTube channel called Last Moment Vision Engineering, where we uploaded videos providing model-wise importance for subjects with upcoming exams. Within a day, we gained 100 subscribers and over 1000 views. We sold 10 solutions, generating a revenue of 5000 rupees.

However, our product was not complete. We still had 6 subjects pending, and we had only 3-4 days left. It took us 2-3 days to create proper solutions for each subject. Despite the challenges, we persevered and sought help from Ayush and Rani, our interns, who assisted in creating high-quality notes. We prioritized quality over shortcuts, which earned the trust of our customers.

In the end, we sold a total of 113 courses, generating a revenue of 53,000 rupees. Our success was not solely due to ChatGPT; it was a combination of domain knowledge, hard work, and dedication. We continue to strive towards making engineering education more accessible and are open to collaborating with others who share our vision.
