Welcome to part two of our ChatGPT for Friends series. If you’re new here and haven’t seen part one, I recommend checking it out first as it will give you the basics of ChatGPT. In part one, you learned that the messages you send to ChatGPT are called prompts. Think of a prompt as a question or request that you type to ChatGPT when you want help or information. To make things easier for you, I’ll provide the prompts that I use in this video in the description box below, so you can copy and paste them for your own use. As you get used to using ChatGPT, I encourage you to try different ways of asking your questions and see how ChatGPT responds. With some practice, you’ll get better at asking questions in a way that gets you the best answers. If you discover prompts that work well for you, save them to a document so you can use them again later.
Now let’s discuss answering a question based on a paragraph. Most often, this is a straightforward process. However, sometimes you may find yourself rereading the paragraph multiple times to locate the answer. In such cases, you can ask ChatGPT for help. Simply provide it with the source material and ask it to summarize the main points using easy-to-understand language. ChatGPT will provide you with a concise answer that you can reword to sound more like you.
If you ever find yourself stuck on a difficult question, you can turn to ChatGPT for assistance. It can help you summarize complex answers and keep your comments within a specified time limit. You can also use the ‘regenerate’ button to get different responses to your original question. Additionally, you can continue the conversation with ChatGPT to further explore the topic.
