I’m sure you all have seen the two minutes Maggie challenge. Well, today I am talking to you about the two minutes ChatGPT challenge. Yes, that’s how easy it is. Let’s see what is up here.
Creating a job description which is up to date with the market in two minutes. Before we start off on ChatGPT, we have to do some pre-work. We will identify the organization and the JD which you want to replicate. Identify the changes that you want to make, for example, the name of the company, location, etc. And then put it out on ChatGPT. I’ve taken the job section, the job page in Genpact, and I’m looking at jobs for a business analyst in Genpact. If you know, Genpact is one of the organizations which are always up to date. Right, so I want to use their business analyst job description to create one for myself. I just click on printable format so that it’s easy for me to see all the details in just one bit, and then I just copy-paste this. Okay, and I write out, ‘I want to create a customized job description for a business analyst for company Pixitix using this input.’ And here I copy-paste the data that I have from Genpact. I click on generate, and what do I get as an outcome? Wow, I get the job description for a business analyst internal audit for Pixitix. You will notice that the ChatGPT has changed the values to Pixitix so that it’s very easy for someone to come and apply to this job description, customized to my website. Wow, that’s just two minutes. If I wanted something else, I could just regenerate the response. You will notice that ChatGPT will regenerate it and then ask you for feedback, saying, ‘Is the new generated outcome better than the one that has gone past?’
So here we’ve done creating a job description which is up to date in two minutes.
Now let’s see a case study for interpreting feedback from business in two minutes. I am sharing with you the performance evaluation comments for Amit, who’s the state head for sales with Team Management responsibility and reporting into the regional manager sales in a bank. The category of feedback is eight aspects on which feedback has come in: customer experience, problem-solving, time management, collaboration, teamwork, communication skills, leadership, innovation and creativity, and attendance. How do I use this to calibrate Amit’s performance? All right, Google and ask ChatGPT to create a one-paragraph summary of five points on the highlights and rate the performance of Amit from zero to hundred percent. And then I just copy-paste whatever is there in that Word document out here. When I generate the outcome, you can see that a very pertinent outcome has come. Amit has demonstrated commendable performance in various aspects of his role, and this paragraph summarizes it. But the best part is that overall Amit’s performance can be rated at 90, reflecting his outstanding contribution and dedication to the organization. Wow, isn’t that easy? To interpret feedback from business, what we need to do is to take the comments of one employee and create the statement for the outcome you want from ChatGPT. Like I clearly said that I wanted to see the ranking for Amit between zero and hundred percent.
Now let’s see the third use case: understanding an HBR or McKenzie report on people management in just two minutes. Of course, the pre-work is there. First is to identify and copy the article. So let’s get started. I’ve taken this particular report or article from HBR, ‘Making the Case for Resources Your Team Needs,’ which is dated 15th August 2023. And all I do is control A, I copy this article out. I put a very simple request, ‘Summarize into points this particular case study.’ And I copy-paste the case study out here. What do I get as an outcome? I am able to see the key points from the article. And yes, that’s how less time it takes, just two minutes to get an output for the article. It’s very easy to summarize and understand any research paper or article in the space of people management that you may be looking at.
