Step number one: Open your web browser and type ‘chatgpt’ to access the official page of this popular free AI tool. Although ChatGPT has launched its updated version, ChatGPT for which is not free and requires payment, we will be using the free version. In the prompt bar, we will ask ChatGPT to generate a PowerPoint presentation. For example, my area of interest is how mathematics improves critical thinking skills, so I will ask it to act as a professional and make a PowerPoint presentation on this topic. I will also ask ChatGPT to generate six slides and fill in the relevant text.
Once you are done with the typing, hit enter. ChatGPT will start creating different slides and filling the text as instructed. You can scroll down and see the progress. It has created seven different slides around our area of interest. The very first slide is about the introduction, titled ‘Enhancing Critical Thinking Through Mathematics’. You can see the text which we can include in our slides. Likewise, slide number two is about the interconnectedness of mathematics and critical thinking. Slide number four is about real-world application, and you can see the other slides as well. The text has already been filled by this free AI tool.
The final slides will be about the conclusion of our presentation. So far, we are done with creating the slide titles and relevant text to include in our presentation.
Before we move to our next step, just copy the entire text.
Here comes step number two: In the search bar, type ‘office.com’ to access the official page of Microsoft Office 365. You can log in using your Gmail or Outlook account. From here, click on ‘Word’ and open a blank file.
Once the blank document is opened, the next step would be pasting the text generated by ChatGPT. For that, use the shortcut key Control + V. Now you can see the entire text has been pasted.
From here, click on ‘Keep Source Formatting’ to maintain the same formatting.
Let’s dive into step number three: Go to ‘Home’ and export the document as a PowerPoint presentation. Once you click on it, a pop-up will appear with various predefined templates. You can select one according to your choice. If you are not satisfied with the given templates, you can click on ‘See More’ to explore more options. For this example, I am choosing a template and then clicking on ‘Export’.
Here you can see that your text will be included in the presentation. Support for images and tables is coming soon, which means that whatever text you have input will generate an automatic presentation. Let’s wait for a while. Boom! See the magic. An astonishing presentation is ready.

So far, the presentation is available online. If you want to use this presentation offline or download it, click on ‘Open in Desktop App’. Wait for a while, and it will download to your system.
Once the process is over, the presentation will be opened in Microsoft Office. The PPT has been downloaded. From here, you can go through the slides and make any necessary changes. For example, you can cut the title from one slide and paste it in another to make it more professional. Likewise, you can make other changes if you want.
