My single most successful tactic when I start something new is to do it at the same time I’m learning it, which sounds weird, right? Most people instead learn first and then do second. Not me, I do both at the same time. So, you gotta take action now. In fact, in one of my recent videos, I talked about this strategy in my three successful mind strategies for success. I may not be able to link to that video here, but I talk a lot about how important it is to act first and study later. One way of doing that is to start taking action. That might mean it’s time for you to start getting traffic to your website. Perhaps, maybe you need to go learn about a particular advertising platform, like Bing Ads from Microsoft. Well, a lot of people would go and study, study, study, watch a million videos, think about it for a while, and then go study some more. Instead, I start jumping in, start taking action, start trying to figure my way through it, and at the same time, be studying. One of the things that I’ll do is ask my friends or colleagues, or I’ll see a blog post or even a YouTube video recommending a book. Books are a fantastic way to learn about a topic. Sometimes, I invest quite a lot of time reading a book, only to find out it wasn’t what I needed. So, instead, I’ve begun using ChatGPT to help me figure out whether or not I should read a book before I ever buy it or open the page. I’ll ask ChatGPT a few key questions to find out if the book has the information I need and if it’s the right book for me. This works for books published prior to 2022. ChatGPT can provide valuable knowledge about the book, its topics, and even give summaries and actionable things you will learn from it. However, I don’t recommend using ChatGPT as a replacement for reading the book. It’s a tool to help you decide whether to read it or not and to get additional information. When ChatGPT knows about the book, you can ask it questions, get definitions, examples, and even ask how to apply the concepts in the book to your situation. It’s like having a personal assistant who has read the book and can provide guidance. So, take action, use ChatGPT to enhance your learning, and don’t get stuck in the cycle of endless studying.
