Today, I decided to test the capabilities of ChatGPT in generating a chimp strategy for me. Unfortunately, the results were quite disappointing. It seems that ChatGPT simply provides a list of good tower combinations without considering their effectiveness in the game.
I have previously tried another machine learning model, which also failed to provide an effective strategy. It seems that these models rely on input from other sources, such as Google results, and mix them in a random and confusing way.
The strategy suggested by ChatGPT consisted of towers that were individually good, but they were not mixed together in a coherent manner. For example, it recommended getting the 203 sniper to cripple MOABs, but then suggested getting the semi-auto sniper for regrow balloons. This inconsistency made it difficult to follow the strategy.
In my attempt to test the strategy, I decided to exclude heroes and focus solely on the towers recommended by ChatGPT. However, this approach proved to be ineffective against regrow balloons, as the strategy did not provide a solution to handle them.
I also noticed that the strategy did not take into account the timing of tower upgrades. For example, it suggested getting the Perma Spike, but by the time I could afford it, the regrow balloons had already overwhelmed my defenses.
In the end, I had to resort to spamming random towers to survive, which was not an ideal strategy. It was clear that ChatGPT’s chimp strategy was far from optimal.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend relying on ChatGPT for chimp strategies. It seems that these models still have a long way to go in understanding the complexities of the game and providing effective strategies. Perhaps further research and improvements in machine learning algorithms can lead to better results.
In conclusion, my experiment with ChatGPT highlighted the limitations of using AI models for game strategies. While they may provide some insights, they are far from being reliable and effective. It is always better to rely on proven strategies and personal experience when it comes to chimp strategies in games.
