Good morning, my dear students. Good morning, my dear students. Good morning, one and all. Welcome to the fifth and final lecture of the course. The topic name is Chad GBT features and does Googol have something like that? So, Chat GBT features and users, we have to concentrate on the basis for ChatGPT. The basis for ChatGPT is GPT3, which is more advanced than its predecessor, GPT2. This is why Chat GBT can do a lot. Microsoft even included it in Bing, and there are many things it can do, such as writing code or fixing errors. In addition to text-based conversation with human users, it can remember comments from the conversations in future interactions. In addition to writing poems, Chat GBT can also structure essays. So, we need to understand about Chat GBT and what Google has already shown off to counter Chat GPD. Apparently, Chat GPD will kill the traditional search engine because it responds to questions in a conversation and direct way. As far as I have seen, Google is seriously responding to this, and based on what’s already shown off, it should be more than capable of competing. The question is, how do you intend to get there? So, question and answers, we have to concentrate. Now, you know Google’s mission can be broken down into two parts: organizing the world’s information and making it universally useful. Users ask questions, and Google provides answers. Questions began as keywords, then naturally progressed to spoken questions. Answers used to be links to relevant websites, but that has changed. The search engines started giving instant answers to simple questions that were more or less facts, using information from databases, listings, and Wikipedia. Most of the time, as the smartphones’ screens became smaller, direct response devices became more popular. Then came voice assistants and other audio-first devices like smart speakers and displays. So, despite the fact that some questions can be answered quickly and easily, Google still uses featured snippets, direct quotes from websites that it thinks will help you. Recently, Google has been hit hard by critics for its snippets. There are times when it calls a source that isn’t true, and while the content owners blame Google for conspiring to steal clicks on their search, it’s easy for Chat GBT to answer those kinds of complex questions since it can generate an answer to a lot of things instead of sending you to another site. In the future, search will be all about getting direct answers all the time, with the option to ask follow-ups according to users. You can also get more clarity on your query with the ChatGPT questions. Besides debugging code, it can also write essays with the paragraphs summarized and explained, etc. So, what Google has just announced is we have to discuss about Lambda. Lambda means Language Model for Dialog Applications. For some time, Google has been working on the same language model technology and spinning ChatGPT. Yes, but not as flashily. Still, for two developer conferences now, it’s been giving central billing to its work on natural language understanding (NLU) and large language models. At I/O 2021, Google unveiled GPT-3, which is its most advanced conversational AI yet. It’s still in R&D, but it will talk about anything using a paper or plan. And the Pluto is an example. Google wanted to show how Lambda can fix a lot of the nuances that differentiate open-ended conversation, including sensible and specific responses that encourage further discussions. Besides interestingness, Google likes factuality, like sticking to the facts and wittiness. With the test kitchen app, Google began being the public tryout. Three specific examples of Lambda to a year later. So, the second will be on Muum. Muum means Multitask Unified Model. Besides Lambda, Google has highlighted multimodal models that allow people to naturally ask questions across different types of information. With Muum, it’s noteworthy that Google gave an example that can’t be answered today by your search engine, but that’s something this upcoming technology can answer. This is the rainy season on Mt. Fuji. Is waterproof gear needed? Muum understands that you are comparing two mountains. It could surface articles written in Japanese that have more local info. But the most impressive example was more or less tied to Google Lens. This will still explain why and how. Google announced that it was adding Muum to Lens. This is so you could snap a picture of a broken part of your bicycle and get instructions on how to fix it. This is some example I have to say here. So, the third will be on PAL. PAL means Pathways Language Model. The Pathways language model can answer questions. If Muum allows questions to be asked in a variety of media and Lambda can continue conversations, unlike the current highly individualized approach, it uses a next-generation architecture called Pathways. This is understanding we have to discuss about the PAL Lambda and Muum model along the Google process. Okay, my dear students, I hope you have enjoyed the fifth session of the topic ‘ChatGPT features and does Google have something like that?’ Thank you once again, and thank you all.
