What’s up everyone? Thank you all so much for coming back for another video. I appreciate you taking the time to do so. If you are new here, my name is Joseph Dooley. I am a graphic designer and a self-talk calligrapher. In today’s video, I’m going to be talking to you about the 30-day design challenge that I am doing and how I went about even starting it. I will also let you know a little bit about my struggles.
Before I dive into the details, I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for sticking with me, checking out my posts on Instagram, and following me on social media. Your support means a lot to me.
Now, let’s get into the first time I decided to take on a 30-day graphic design challenge. As a graphic designer and calligrapher, I felt the need to improve my skills and get back to what started it all. Calligraphy is just an additional skill I learned to enhance my design abilities.
One of the benefits I have seen from doing this challenge is that it has pushed me out of my comfort zone. Instead of designing the same stuff in a different way, I have been challenged to design things I never thought to attempt before. It has been a great way to explore new techniques and expand my creative horizons.
However, it hasn’t been easy. Working a full-time job and making time for the daily challenge, as well as scheduling posts on Instagram, has been a struggle. But I have learned to manage my time effectively and even discovered the power of scheduling content. It has made the process more manageable.
To help me with this 30-day design challenge, I decided to use chatGPT, an artificial intelligence tool. I simply wrote a prompt asking for a 30-day design challenge based on minimalism techniques that I could post on TikTok and Instagram. ChatGPT provided me with a detailed plan after asking a series of questions. It was a helpful tool in generating ideas and guiding my design process.
Now, let’s talk about the struggles I have faced during this 30-day design challenge. Apart from the time management aspect, I have dealt with self-doubt and the fear of not being able to design something new or different. Overcoming these challenges has been a journey in itself, but it has also been rewarding.
In conclusion, I highly recommend taking on a 30-day design challenge if you feel stuck creatively or want to sharpen your skills. It is a great way to push yourself and create work that can be added to your portfolio. Despite the challenges, it has been a fulfilling experience for me.
