I’m sure you’ve heard about artificial intelligence (AI) and AI chatbots in the news recently. A lot of people have been wondering if AI is coming for our jobs. As a data scientist, I’m worried about that too. But what I wanted to know is, can AI style a fashion girl? Can it beat GPT in styling outfits? That’s what we’re going to find out here today.
When I first thought about this idea, I thought I was the most innovative person ever. Of course, a quick YouTube search relieved me of that notion. But I think my approach is going to be a little bit different from what I’ve already seen. I’m going to have a couple of pieces in my closet that you may also have, and I’m going to ask ChatGPT to style those pieces. Two of the pieces are going to be run-of-the-mill pieces that almost everybody has in their closet, and two of them are going to be a little bit more esoteric. I wanted to challenge ChatGPT and see if it can come up with unique and stylish outfits.
Let’s start with the black slip dress. I asked ChatGPT how to style a black slip dress, and it gave me some interesting ideas. The first look I tried was a business casual one. I paired the dress with a pair of slacks and a belt. I completed the look with business casual pumps. It’s an easy and breezy look that can be worn for various occasions.
The next look I tried was a summery one. I wore the dress with a sweater vest over top and a pleated skirt. I added some sandals and pearls to keep it preppy looking. It’s a cute and wearable look for the summer.
I also tried pairing the dress with a jumpsuit. I never thought about this combination before, but now that I’ve tried it, I really like it. I wore the dress underneath the jumpsuit and added a belt for a stylish touch. It’s a unique and fashionable look that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own.
Another look I tried was the classic casual look. I paired the dress with a black crop top and a denim shirt. I rolled up the sleeves and added some white sandals. It’s a simple and timeless look that always works.
For the rainbow denim jacket, I challenged ChatGPT to come up with stylish outfits. Since it’s a more unique piece, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But ChatGPT surprised me with some interesting ideas. I tried pairing the jacket with a white sundress for a simple and summery look. I also wore it with jeans and a t-shirt for a casual and comfortable outfit. I experimented with contrasting colors by wearing the jacket with a lime green top and pants. Lastly, I tried a more office chic look by pairing the jacket with slacks and a blazer. It’s a stylish and professional outfit that I love.
In conclusion, ChatGPT did a decent job in styling the black slip dress and the rainbow denim jacket. While it’s not groundbreaking, it provided some interesting ideas and pushed me out of my comfort zone. However, I still believe that fashion girls have a unique perspective and creativity that can’t be replaced by AI. So, for now, I’ll continue to scroll through Instagram and get inspired by the girls in the fashion industry.
