Hello everyone! Today, we are going to solve a very difficult assignment: predicting the products of chemical equations using the chatGPT. In this video, you do not have to use any periodic table or do any calculations. Just follow me as I solve this assignment.
To start, you need to copy and paste the equation from the name to this email. Then, come to your word document and paste it there. Make sure you have all the values copied correctly.
Next, type the formulas in your Word document. We do not need any compound information, so just type the formulas as they are. For example, if the formula is C3H8OH, type it as C3H8OH. No need for subscripts or anything.
Lastly, type the major species present when dissolved in water. Don’t forget to add the phrase ‘show me as power’ after each species.
Now, copy and paste the entire question into the chatGPT and hit enter. When you get a response, pay attention to the formatting.
If the response has a carrot sign (^), it means there is a power. Write the symbol with the power as an exponent. If there is a number before or at the beginning of a symbol, do not include it in your answer. If there is a number after or in between symbols, include it in your answer.
For example, if the response is Ni^2+, write it as Ni^2+ with the 2 as an exponent. If the response is 2Br^-, write it as Br^- with the 2 as an exponent.
Now, let’s solve a difficult example. We have the equation NiBr2 + ZnCl2 + CH3COOH. For NiBr2, write Ni with the 2 as an exponent and Br^- as an exponent. For ZnCl2, write Zn^2+ and Cl^- as an exponent. For CH3COOH, write CH3COO^- and H^+ as an exponent.
Once you have formatted your answer, hit submit. If it says your answer is correct, you have solved the equation!
