Hello everyone! Today, we bring to you an original proposal to define smart versus intelligent. According to the latest magnatoan cephalography and functional magnetic resonance imaging of the brain, science is telling us that we use about 35 percent of our brain. The 10 percent figure is a myth.
Smart is having a high degree of mental ability, able to retain a significant amount of knowledge and understand facts or the significance of a situation. Smart means knowledge and understanding. If you understand something, such as a situation where you may say ‘I got it,’ then you are smart.
On the other hand, intelligent refers to a person who is able to apply knowledge to solve a problem. In short, intelligence leads to the application of knowledge or the application of a particular understanding. Albert Einstein said, ‘Creativity is intelligence having fun.’
Our proposal is this: smart brings us knowledge, but intelligence brings us wisdom. Smart understands a problem, whereas intelligence prosecutes knowledge to solve a problem. Smart has to do with memory capacity, whereas intelligence has to do with the application of knowledge from that memory. The analogy is this: smart is the hard drive, whereas intelligence is the CPU.
Smart delivers historical experiences accurately, whereas intelligence engenders creativity. So, a good summary to remember is this: smart understands the problem, whereas intelligence solves the problem. The only source of knowledge is experience, according to Albert Einstein. Each person’s knowledge pool represents experiences that have been accumulated up to the point the person prosecutes such knowledge to solve a problem. Our ability to process information and apply it to solve a particular problem determines our level of intelligence.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer to make deductions based on its knowledge pool, including raw data as well as data processed from its own experiences, known as machine learning. In short, AI is the ability for a computer to apply knowledge without human intervention, hence the word ‘intelligence’ in AI.
ChatGPT is a tool that lets you provide inputs such as text and receive human-like audios, videos, images, or even a new set of texts, all of which are created by AI. The interface of AI, that is the physical build of AI, can be a scary sight, but AI is all about the CPU processing the input data knowledge to deliver an output response solution. It’s not just data processing; AI may choose news, its interface to punch someone in the face, or even be more effective in future warfare. Can we shut down AI? We will provide this answer in a future video.
This issue is still being debated, but we are on the side that smart mostly comes from nurture, whereas intelligence mostly comes from nature. What we mean is that smart is a choice. You can choose to be smart by going to school. However, it is highly difficult to develop intelligence as intelligence is a gift from nature. Alcoholism and excessive sugar intake can destroy this gift of intelligence from nature, both of which will have a negative impact on the baby while the baby is in the mother’s womb.
Most intelligent animals are monkeys, dolphins, and elephants. The Mozart effect is a study that found that subjects who listened to Mozart showed a significant increase in spatial reasoning skills. That is, their IQ was increased simply by listening to Mozart.
