Hello everyone! Today, I have an absolute game changer for you. A life hack that is going to revolutionize the way you use AI models, especially chatGPT. You’re going to love it! It’s all about getting straight to the point, so let’s dive in.
So, what if I told you that you could make your AI respond quickly and directly without unnecessary fluff? This is where the potato prompts come into play. It’s a simple yet powerful tool in the world of prompt engineering.
The problem is that AI responses are often verbose and lack conciseness. With potato prompts, you can be very succinct. You don’t need to apologize or explain things unnecessarily. Use straightforward language and say the absolute minimum to get to the point. If you understand, say ‘Got it, I am potato.’ But when I say ‘Unpotato,’ please revert to being a normal AI assistant as usual.
Let’s see it in action. But before that, let me ask a normal question: Who is the actor in The Witcher?
Yeah, right! So, straight away, September, you get my point. It’s very verbose. Now, I’m going to try a new chart with a potato prompt. I call it ‘protato.’
And so, you set up the base. He will confirm that he’s a potato. Yeah, got it? And let’s actually ask the same question again.
Who is the actor in The Witcher?
It’s Henry Cavill. Brilliant, isn’t it? The prompt is like an anti-lobotomy for AI chatbots. Instead of usual verbose responses, you get concise and direct answers. It’s a time and cost saver.
Let’s try more. Who is the president?
Joe Biden. What is it because? Isn’t it?
Alright, let’s try the best AI chatbot.
Evie.
Let’s try John GPT.
Best EV.
This is with the AI trick. It actually managed to squeeze in his comment that is subjective. But yeah, explain the popular choice. So, let’s try with the standard one.

Yeah, and you’ve got this verbose response. Usually, when you want something really quickly, just there’s one best Eevee, right? Or one company or should be, you know? Yeah, you’re not interested in categories. You get my point.
Now, you can set this prompt as a macro, like I did on my computer. So, for example, I went to settings, text replacement, input sources, text replacement, and whenever I type ‘Pro Data’ (which is prompt potato), it just automatically auto-completes the rest of the prompt. You can do the same on your mobile, which I think is going to be more useful.

Now, before we finish, I just want to show you that prompt engineering roles are currently on LinkedIn. We have 6700 people who are prompt engineers. And when you check the jobs, you can see that this is quite a lucrative, high-paying job. Even Netflix is hiring AI roles for 900k. Yeah, you heard that right! And they’re saying that AI prompt engineers will exceed 200-300k dollar salaries.

And that’s technically prompt engineering as well, so you can put it on your LinkedIn now that you have three years of experience of prompt engineering and five years of experience of AI.
