Hello dear friends! In this video, I would like to share with you some tips on how to prepare for IELTS speaking tests using ChatGPT.
Nowadays, we have a lot of opportunities to practice any kind of skills related to IELTS. For example, you can create content for reading, listening, writing, and speaking. In this video, I will focus on how to prepare for the IELTS speaking test.
First of all, you need to log in to ChatGPT. Then, you can start a new chat. Here, you can use ChatGPT4, which is a paid version. Keep in mind that I used a special ROM extension called Superpower ChatGPT.
To generate questions for the speaking test, you need to give an appropriate prompt to ChatGPT. For example, you can start by asking, ‘Please generate questions that are asked in the IELTS speaking test.’
Once you have a set of questions generated by ChatGPT, you can use Google Docs’ speech-to-text tool to record your answers. Simply click on the microphone button and start answering the questions.
For example, if the question is ‘How do you think reading habits have changed with the rise of digital media?’, you can answer, ‘Well, I think that with the emergence of digital media, reading habits have changed significantly. Nowadays, we have electronic books and various content generated on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. People prefer to read less and they prefer bite-sized information. This may impact our intellectual capabilities in the future.’
After recording your answers, you can copy the text and ask ChatGPT for assistance. For example, you can say, ‘I have answered some questions. Can you please check them and assess my speaking according to IELTS speaking criteria? And after that, can you please provide model answers?’
ChatGPT will provide feedback on your fluency, coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, punctuation, and intonation. You can read the feedback and model answers to learn from them.
In conclusion, preparing for IELTS speaking tests with the help of ChatGPT can be a valuable tool. It allows you to practice and receive feedback on your speaking skills.
