Parenting Tips for a Three-Month-Old Baby

Parenting Tips for a Three-Month-Old Baby

Three months ago, I gave birth to my baby. I popped the baby out, and the hardest part is over. As a new mom, I have no idea what to do with a baby, how to raise a baby. Being a mom in this age is so different from being a mom in the past. When my mom was a mom, when my grandma was a mom, there were no resources, no internet. Pretty much, you would learn how to be a parent from your parents. My mom is not even in this country, so in today’s video, I want to try to ask AI what to do with a three-month-old.

At three months old, babies are becoming more alert and interactive. Here are some activities you can do with a three-month-old:

  1. Tummy Time: Encourage your baby to spend some time on their tummy to help strengthen their neck and back muscles. Place toys or colorful objects in front of them to grab their attention.

  2. Sing and Talk: Babies love hearing their parents’ voices. Sing songs, talk, and engage in conversations with your baby. This helps with their language development and bonding.

  1. Read Books: Introduce your baby to the world of books by reading simple, colorful board books. Point out pictures and make different sounds to keep them engaged.

  2. Play with Toys: Offer age-appropriate toys that are easy to grasp and manipulate. Rattles, soft toys, and toys with different textures can be stimulating for their senses.

  3. Baby Massage: Gently massage your baby’s arms, legs, and back using baby-safe oil. This can help with relaxation, bonding, and promoting healthy circulation.

  4. Take Walks: If the weather permits, take your baby for a stroll in a stroller or baby carrier. The fresh air and change of scenery can be stimulating for them.

  5. Peekaboo: Play peekaboo with your baby by covering your face with your hands or a blanket and then revealing yourself. This game helps develop their understanding of object permanence.

  6. Dance and Move: Hold your baby securely and sway or dance to music. This can be a fun way to bond and introduce them to different rhythms and movements.

Remember, every baby is different, so observe your baby’s cues and adjust activities accordingly. Always prioritize their safety and well-being.

Parenting can be overwhelming, but as long as your baby is healthy, safe, and alive, you are a good mom. Don’t feel bad if you don’t fit into all of the recommended activities in one day. Take it one step at a time and enjoy the journey of parenthood.

I hope these tips and suggestions help you navigate the joys and challenges of raising a three-month-old baby. Remember to trust your instincts and seek support from other parents or professionals when needed. You’re doing great!
