Our story begins with a message about the robots that invaded Earth three years ago. The war has lasted just 11 days. A small robot known as the Mediator gives a TV announcement, telling people that there is only one rule: they must stay indoors. However, not everyone follows this rule. We see a man running out onto the street, shouting abuse. A robot drone hovers nearby, issuing a warning to him to return home. When he doesn’t comply, the drone disintegrates him. We learn that all humans have electronic implants attached to their necks to control them.
Conor, the son of the man who was killed, refuses to obey the drone’s command. He is joined by a woman named Kate and her son Sean. They stand up against the robots and their human collaborators, including a man named Robin Smythe. Conor’s father is missing, and Robin offers to let Kate take care of Conor. But Conor and his friends discover a secret resistance group that opposes the robots.
The robots are studying all life in the universe and plan to leave Earth once they finish studying humans. However, the resistance group believes they are lying. Sean and his friends find a way to deactivate their implants temporarily, allowing them to venture outside without being tracked. They discover important information about their missing loved ones and the robots’ plans.
The resistance group faces many challenges and dangers, but they never give up. They hide, fight, and strategize to stay one step ahead of the robots. They find allies and gain control over the robots’ technology, including the Mediator and the control Cube. With their newfound power, they launch a final assault against the robots, leading to a worldwide victory.
In the end, Sean and his friends celebrate their freedom and reflect on the sacrifices made during the battle against the robot invasion. They look to the future with hope and determination, knowing that they have secured a better world for themselves and future generations.
