In today’s video, we’re going to learn how kids can safely leverage AI for homework help, tutoring, advanced super learning, exponential creativity, and more. Hi, my name is Chi, and I’m a teacher on Outschool. I teach courses on artificial intelligence as well as financial literacy.
Why is artificial intelligence so important in today’s environment? Well, let me tell you a quick story. A couple of weeks ago on Twitter, I read a story by a consultant who wanted to hire two software engineers to help them finish a software project. Software developer A had 20 years of coding experience and could program in C++, Python, and more. Software developer B had only two years of coding experience but used artificial intelligence and no-code tools. The consultant hired both engineers and gave them the project. After a week, software developer A said the project was 7% complete and would cost $5000 and take 5-6 weeks to finish. Software developer B said the project was 100% complete, tested, and would only cost $2500. The consultant was amazed and asked how software developer B was able to complete the project on time and ahead of schedule. The answer was using artificial intelligence to test the software and make sure it was production-ready.
This is the magic of using artificial intelligence. It not only improves your capacity to create but also exponentially increases your output. Someone learning how to use artificial intelligence today can create significantly more output than someone who does not know how to use it. When it comes to learning and education, artificial intelligence is extremely important. It helps children learn faster, assimilate knowledge quicker, and be able to create and produce at a much more rapid pace. It also prepares them for the workforce, making them valuable to any employer or even if they want to create their own business.
That’s why I believe that the future is already here, and it is AI. If anyone is not using AI today, they’re falling far behind. Let’s take a quick look at some of the things we can do with AI. For example, if your child is using AI today, they can not only learn but also create and increase their output. They can discover how to plan new things, develop new skills, and even learn a new language. AI is extremely good for tutoring, practicing knowledge, brainstorming for projects and ideas, as well as teaching new skills like digital art.
In my courses on Outschool, I teach students how to leverage AI for various purposes. For example, in my science projects class, we brainstorm different projects and learn about bacteria, antibiotics, and more. In my math class, we create projects that focus on specific math concepts. We also explore other AI tools like Dolly, Toonify, and more to enhance creativity and master digital art.
Using AI in education is a game-changer. It allows students to learn faster, be more productive, and explore new possibilities. If you want your child to master AI and use it safely, I invite you to join my class. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to having your learner in my class.
