Hey YouTube, in this video we are going to integrate Intercom with Chat GPD APIs from Open AI. This video is also available as an article, which you can find in the description. By the end of this video, you will be able to empower your customer support teams using AI.
To get started, you will need accounts with Zapier, Intercom, and Open AI. You can create accounts on their respective websites. The description contains steps to create an account and obtain your API keys.
Once you have your accounts set up, go to intercom.com and follow the steps to embed the messenger in a website. In this tutorial, we will be using CodePen as a website. Copy the code from CodePen and paste it in the HTML section of intercom.com. Customize the name and email in the code.
After embedding the messenger, go back to the Intercom passport and click on the second step to install the messenger. Once the installation is complete, go to Zapier and connect Intercom and Chat GPD. Select the trigger for new conversations in Intercom and set up the action to call the Chat GPD conversation API.
Test the trigger and action in Zapier to make sure they are working correctly. Once the conversation details are received, call the Open AI API to generate a response. Use the conversation ID, temperature, and other parameters to customize the response.
After generating the response, send it back to the customer using the Intercom API. Format the message data and make a POST request to the Intercom API. Test the action to ensure the message is sent successfully.
