Improving Trading Bot Code on Phoenix Exchange

Improving Trading Bot Code on Phoenix Exchange

Hello everyone, I’m Michael Futures. Welcome to my show. Today, we are going to discuss the trading bots I have been working on, specifically on Phoenix Exchange. I connected to the exchange using the API and the ccxt Library. With this setup, I can monitor all the movements my bot has been making, including longs and shorts over the past few days.

Currently, I am in a position and I am letting the bot run. In the previous episodes, we went over the code itself, how I connected to the exchange, and the key files such as pandas, numpy, and the symbols on Phoenix Exchange. We also discussed the target loss and the parameters.

I have a file called ’nicefunks’ where I keep all my functions. This helps me organize my code and makes it more manageable. By importing this file, I can use these functions throughout my code without cluttering it.

Today, I want to focus on the bot that is currently running. I showed you how to connect to the exchange and explained the code. Now, I want to dive deeper into the code and make some improvements.

To do this, I uploaded the bot file and requested suggestions for improvements. The system analyzed the code and provided suggestions for areas of improvement. These include removing redundancy, improving exception handling, code modularity, commenting and documentation, hardcore values, use of sleep, and code formatting.

I accepted the suggestions and the system refracted the code for me. It created separate files for each code, making it more organized and readable. I am yet to run the improved code as I want to wait until the current bot finishes its trading activities.

Once the bot is done, I will run the improved code and see how it performs. I am excited to see if these improvements can help me make more money.

That’s all for today. Thank you for tuning in. If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to share them. I appreciate your support. Stay tuned for more updates on optimizing the bot and maximizing profits. Have a great day!
