In today’s video tutorial, I want to take you through how to use ChatGPT and specifically a free Chrome extension called Keyword Everywhere to issue a prompt template in order to write a very compelling and persuasive email to your boss at the company that you work for.
This is an email that I typed up with ChatGPT specifically to negotiate a deal with my boss at the company I work for. So here we go!
We’re going to open up this and come to the copywriting category, subcategory email writing template. Just choose the professional email editor and then voice tone, we want to make it professional obviously because this is a professional matter. And for writing style, we’re going to choose persuasive so that it’s a convincing argument.
And from here, I’ve simply issued it this email. Here’s my ultimatum: I’m going to resign from the company by September 9th unless I start getting a base salary. I’m not getting any salary at the company I work for, and I’m still waiting on sales commissions to come in because the sales team is dragging their feet. I’m sending them all the leads and they’re not closing the deals, so that’s not my responsibility. So in this case, I want to send an email to my boss and threaten to quit from my job unless I start getting a base salary for the work that I’m doing for the company. Right, makes sense?
So we’re going to issue it this prompt template and execute the template. When I click on execute template, it’s going to simply type up the entire email in a professional persuasive way to my boss.
Here it is:
Subject: Request for Consideration of Base Salary
Dear [Boss’s Name],
I hope this message finds you well. I would like to discuss an important matter regarding my current role within the company. It gets his attention right away.
Over the past six months, I have dedicated myself to contributing to the success of our team and the organization as a whole. I have taken on various responsibilities and have consistently strived to exceed expectations. I am truly appreciative of the opportunities I’ve had here.
However, I observed that my compensation package lacks a base salary component. Now, this I would probably just revise to something a little more simple so it doesn’t give away that it was written by ChatGPT. But anyway, let’s keep going.
While I understand that our compensation structure has various components, I believe that having a base salary would provide me with the financial stability needed to continue performing at my best and able to pay my rent and eat.
To that end, I kindly request that we initiate a discussion about the possibility of introducing a base salary component to my compensation package. Again, I would just boil this down and put the exact amount in there that you want. This would not only recognize my contributions but also motivate me to continue delivering exceptional results.
I value my role here and would prefer not to consider alternative options. Therefore, I would like to propose a timeline for addressing this matter. If we can initiate this discussion and reach a mutually agreeable solution by September 9th, that’s my cutoff date, it would alleviate my concerns and allow me to fully focus on my work. I am open to scheduling a meeting at your earliest convenience to discuss this further and explore potential solutions. Your support in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated, and I believe it will contribute positively to a working relationship.

If I want to, let’s say, shorten this down, I can also do that as well. Normally, I don’t see it here right away, but anyway, I can also shorten this to a simpler version. But in this case, I’m just going to copy-paste this and put it into my email client after some revision. I’m going to send it out.
