Hello everybody. In this article, I will show you how to install ChatGPT into Google Sheets. By following these steps, you will be able to enter prompts and receive AI-generated content.
First, open your Google Sheets and go to the top left corner where it says ‘Extensions’. Click on it and then click on ‘Add-ons’. In the Google Workspace Marketplace, search for ‘GPT for Sheets and Docs’ and click on it. Install the add-on.
Next, set up your API key. Go to the ‘Extensions’ again and click on ‘GPT for Sheets and Docs’. Then, click on ‘Set API key’. You will need to have an OpenAI account and generate an API key. Once you have the key, paste it in the designated field and click on ‘Check’ to validate it.
After setting up the API key, enable GPT functions by going back to ‘Extensions’ and clicking on ‘GPT for Sheets and Docs’. Enable the functions.
Now, you can use GPT functions in your Google Sheets. For example, type ‘=GPT say hi’ in a cell to see the AI-generated response.
