I was shocked by the numbers the seller was making by selling simple storybooks like this. For example, one book had over 1,000 ratings, and if we multiply that by the product price, the seller made over $16,000 from that book alone. I realized that I could publish a similar book using Amazon KDP and generate a passive income while sleeping.
To create a good storybook, you first need to come up with a good story idea. I asked an AI generator to generate a title for a storybook related to kids, and it came up with ‘The Adventure of Tommy and Kemi for the Lost Treasure.’ This sounded like a very exciting story to start with. The AI generator also generated the chapter titles and details, such as ‘Chapter 1: The Lost Treasure’ and ‘Chapter 2: Louise the Old Parrot.’ All I had to do was copy the generated chapters and set the proper rhythm and story flow.

I then used Canva to design the storybook, where I uploaded the generated illustrations and added the text. After designing all the chapters, I saved the ebook as a PDF.
