Hey there, welcome back to the channel! In today’s video, I’m going to show you step by step how to generate more leads for your business using Apollo. We’re going to set up an automated email sequence written by ChatGPT to send out to potential clients directly from Apollo. So please subscribe to the channel and let’s get started.
First of all, you’re going to come over to apollo.io (link in the description below) where you can sign up for free. Once you create your account, you can simply log in and it will take you into your dashboard.
Now we are in Apollo, and if we want to find people in a specific industry or niche, we can come up to the search and just select ‘people tree’. In this case, I’m looking for photographers because I’m a photographer myself and these are the people that I want to help with my service. I’m just going to come down and select photography as the industry.
It will pull up an entire list of all the photographers who have businesses around the world. As you can see, I’ve got a hundred and fifty thousand results, which is way too many. So I want to narrow this down a little bit. I can come over here and select a specific location. In this case, I’m going to select North America, so I can find all the photographers in the United States from within Apollo. Very powerful!
Now that’s narrowed it down to about 65,000 results. We can also come down to the number of employees, and I’m only looking for small businesses, so I’m going to select one to ten people. That’ll take it down to about 29,000 results.
While that’s working, I can come over here to ChatGPT and simply type up my entire email script using this powerful AI technology. In this case, I want to target photographers and sell them Google ads services so that they can get more clients for their photography business. This is something that a lot of photographers need help with, myself included. So I’m simply going to type up an entire email script like this.
Now I have my entire email script that I can simply put into Apollo to send out to my potential clients or prospects. But first, I have to actually find the photographers that I want to reach out to. So I’ve got an entire list of 29,000 people right here that I can simply go through and start adding them into a list.
I already have a list created, so I can come over here to my list and click on photographers. There we go, it’s loading all the leads. I’ve got 248 total leads, these are all photographers that most likely need help with Google ads services. Right now, I’m just going to send them out an email script offering this specific valuable service.

Now that we have all of the leads, we simply have to come over here to engage at the top and click on sequences. This is where you’re going to set up your email sequences. I already have an email sequence set up, but if you want to create a new one, you can simply do so very easily by clicking ‘add step’.
Let’s say I want to send an initial email, a follow-up email, and maybe another email after that. I can simply add another step right here. In this case, I would like to follow up with them a couple of days afterwards, so I can just select ‘automatic email’ and say ‘follow up after three days’.
Now we’ve got another email that’s going to send out three days later. I can just come over to ChatGPT to type this up for me. There we go, there’s my follow-up email. Of course, in this case, I think it’s way too long. I don’t need that much information.
We can also use the AI assistant that is built into Apollo. I can use this, I just click ‘generate’ and it will type up the entire email for me using AI. Then I can just click on that and it will put it into the email sequence, which is pretty cool.
In this case, I think I’m just going to send out one email. I don’t need this one right now. So I’m just going to leave that disabled and turn this one on. This is my email script that I’m sending out right here. I can insert their first name, this is the subject line that’s going to be sending.
That’s it! Basically, what I’m doing is I’m just sending the email, telling them more information about Google ads and how it can help their business, and then requesting to schedule a call with them. I can easily preview that email right here and see what it’s going to look like. It’s not too long, I think it’s a pretty good length.
Now, all I have to do at this point to start sending the emails is click the button at the top, which I’m going to do right now. So I’m just going to activate this sequence. It’s going to turn on this email sequence and it’s going to automatically start sending emails.
This is going to be running throughout the day. I don’t really have to do anything, it’s all automated. Now I just wait for the emails to send, hoping that they don’t go into the spam folder. Of course, I need to get replies to the emails and get on a phone call with potential clients to sell them on the service.
