Around the end of last year, ChatGPT took the world by storm. If you haven’t heard about it, you’ve been living under a rock. One of the things that made it so popular is people were using it to write essays for school. Just put in the prompt, write the essay, copy and paste it, and you’re done. Today, I’m going to teach you how to effectively and efficiently use ChatGPT for writing essays.
As a college student and a high schooler, I’ve learned how to personally use ChatGPT to write essays. Here’s my general setup: have ChatGPT on one side of your screen and Google Docs on the other. Now, let me tell you why you don’t just want to copy the prompt and paste it. It’s going to be quite obvious, even though it could be a well-written essay, ChatGPT has no personalization to you. Most essays have some sort of personal aspect to them. So, I’m going to teach you how to take ChatGPT’s good intellectual response and make it your own, and make it sound much better.
Instead of just copying and pasting the prompt, you can add specific details that are going to create a better generated response from ChatGPT. For example, if you’re a freshman in high school or in middle school, you can say, ‘Write it with middle school level English.’ This simple addition can make a big difference.
Here’s what you’re going to do: put in your prompt into ChatGPT and then come over to Google Docs. Copy ChatGPT’s response and type it out on Google Docs. This method allows you to personalize the essay and make it your own. You can keep the sentence and paragraph structure, but write it how you would actually write it. You can also add personal experiences or opinions to make the essay more engaging.
Another great thing about ChatGPT is that you can keep asking it questions. If you don’t like the way a sentence sounds, you can ask ChatGPT to rewrite it with a different structure. If you can’t think of a transition between paragraphs, ChatGPT can help you with that too.
In conclusion, using ChatGPT for writing essays can be a time-saving and efficient method. By combining your own writing skills with ChatGPT’s generated response, you can create a personalized and well-written essay. Remember, using your brain and ChatGPT together will yield the best results. I hope you found this video helpful. If you did, make sure to leave a comment, like, and subscribe. Thank you!
