How to Create Videos with Canva and ChatGPT

Hey there and welcome back to another video. In today’s tutorial, I’m going to give you a step-by-step process of how to create videos with Canva and ChatGPT. Please note that this tutorial is mostly aimed at TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.

To get started, let’s go to Canva and ChatGPT. We’ll start by asking ChatGPT to give us a topic. For this video, the topic will be 3D riddles and their answers on a table. We’ll ask ChatGPT to add emojis to the answers and the end of questions on our list.

Now that we have our text prompt from ChatGPT, let’s go back to Canva and create a new video project. We’ll customize and personalize it based on the topic we chose from ChatGPT.

Since we’re making a short video on puzzles and riddles, let’s search for elements related to riddles in Canva’s elements section. I’ve settled on a nice-looking animation of a puzzle maze. To make it more aesthetic, I’ll zoom in and focus on a specific part of the animation.

Next, we can edit the playback speed of the video and choose the timing of how our video will look on this scene. We can also add a shape to overlay over the video animation to create a blurry image effect.

To label this video scene, we’ll add a heading using the text option in Canva. Let’s title this scene ‘Riddles and Answers’. You can choose the font and style that you prefer for your video.

Now, let’s copy and paste the riddle prompts from ChatGPT into the text box of our video. Feel free to edit the font and positioning as you wish. You can also animate the text to make it more eye-catching.

To add the answer to the riddle, we’ll create a square shape and place it over the video animation. We’ll label this shape with the answer. Again, you can animate the text to make it more engaging.

Once we’re happy with the font style, position, and animation of the text and shapes, we can fix the timing of the entire scene. We can adjust the timing of each element, including text boxes and shapes, to synchronize with the rest of the video.

Now that we’ve completed scene 1, let’s move on to the next portion of the tutorial. We’ll use Canva’s Bulk Create feature to input all the prompts we’ve generated from ChatGPT. This feature allows us to automatically generate all the pages of every single riddle based on the template we created earlier.

After inputting all the data, make sure to check the timing of each scene to ensure everything works perfectly. Once you’re satisfied, you can download a copy of the video for publishing on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.

That’s it! You now know how to turn text generated from ChatGPT into a video using Canva. If you have any questions about this design process, feel free to leave a comment.
