Do you create a ton of short form video content from your podcasts and you do not want to be writing captions for every single one of them? If so, the process that I am going to share with you on how to leverage ChatGPT to download the transcript and turn it into engaging captions is going to blow your mind and help you become a better marketer easily and efficiently. Let’s do this!
There are four programs that we use in our process. We house this process in Evernote, but my team opens up Descript, which is what we use for transcription. Then, we use ChatGPT to create everything that we want. Here are some tips for creating captions: write exactly what you show, do, or teach in the video. You can also ask a question if you need some ideas for good things to write captions. Keep it to 10 words or less.
Here’s the task definition that my team follows:
- Download the short form video
- Open Descript and choose a file to transcribe
- Use ChatGPT to create captions
Once we have the transcription, we can use ChatGPT to create captions. My team follows the task definition and copies and pastes the five different caption examples that ChatGPT gives us. Then, they choose the one they like the best. This process allows us to have multiple options and makes it easier if we decide to republish the content in the future.
We do this for every single video and every single piece of content that we create. It helps us scale our content creation and distribution process. With this process, we can easily access social captions, thumbnail text, and other options for each piece of content.
