No matter if you’re a writer, blogger, vlogger, or social media superstar, this powerful combination will elevate your content to new levels. And the best part? You can earn passive income by doing what you love: creating engaging content that leaves everyone wanting more.
Now, let’s talk about something really cool that excites me. Have you ever thought about creating your own ebook? It’s an amazing way to earn money online. Just imagine putting in your time and effort once, and then you can keep earning as you sell it over and over again. And you know what? Digital products like ebooks and online courses can be like treasure chests of profits.
Let me show you what I mean. If we look on Amazon for books in any genre, whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, or picture books for kids, you’ll be amazed at the number of books available. Let’s search for some picture books, for example. The book ‘With No Pictures’ has more than eighteen thousand reviews. ‘The Wonderful Things You Will Be’ has over 27,000 reviews. And ‘Waiting Is Not Easy’ has over fourteen thousand reviews. These books are usually priced around eight or nine dollars. Now, let’s do some math. These numbers are only based on the reviews. The actual sales could be even higher because not everyone leaves a review. It doesn’t matter what genre of books you search for, the sales numbers will still surprise you.
Now comes the fun part. You can publish your book on Amazon for free using KDP, which stands for Kindle Direct Publishing. This platform allows you to easily reach readers all around the world. You can create ebooks, paperbacks, and even audiobooks and take advantage of Amazon’s huge marketplace to make it even better. We’ll create the ebook together using ChatGPT, Mid-journey, and Canva. So get ready to publish on Amazon KDP and start earning passive income that grows over time.
Step 1: Go to ChatGPT and choose from the most popular non-fiction book categories. You’ll find options like biographies, history, self-help, business and finance, and more. If you want more choices, you can type in additional categories like art and design, food and cooking, gardening, and nature, crafts and hobbies, parenting and family, psychology and mental health, spirituality and religion, true crime, sports, and many others. By being creative in your search, you can discover exciting ideas.
Writing an ebook might feel overwhelming at first, but don’t worry. ChatGPT is a real game-changer because it’s easy to use and quick. With ChatGPT, you’ll have your amazing ebook ready in no time.
Let’s take action! The first step is to do some brainstorming and search for a great idea. Remember, doing thorough research is important because you want to create content that people will really love. In this journey, you can trust ChatGPT to help you find the trendiest categories in every genre. For example, let’s use ChatGPT to search for the most popular fiction book categories for toddlers. You can explore options like animals, bedtime stories, friendship and social skills, concept books, fairy tales, nature and seasons, funny and silly books, and there are even more to discover.
To narrow down your search, let’s focus on specific subtopics. So if you’re interested in fairy tales, you can ask ChatGPT to suggest subtopics in that genre. Let’s say we choose the magical creature subcategory. ChatGPT can provide a title for your book, but if you want more catchy and interesting titles, you can simply ask for more suggestions.
Now, let’s ask ChatGPT to help us create an outline for an ebook in the magical creature subcategory. Once we have the outline, we’ll copy and paste it into Google Docs. After that, we’ll go back to ChatGPT, copy the first chapter, and then type ‘write a chapter 2’ to get the text for the next chapter. We’ll keep doing this for all the chapters, pasting each generated chapter into our Google Docs. If you find that any chapter is too short or needs more information, you can ask ChatGPT for additional content by typing ‘write more’. By following these steps, you can use ChatGPT to write all the chapters of your ebook. It’s a simple process that will only take a few minutes, and soon your ebook will be ready for download.
Step 2: The next important step is creating illustrations for your ebook. Illustrations are essential to make your book engaging. However, hiring artists to draw these illustrations can be very costly, sometimes costing thousands of dollars. But don’t fret, there’s a solution. You can use an AI art generator to create realistic images, and the best part is, it’s completely free. In my experience, Mid-journey provides the best results.
To get started, you should join their Discord server. To generate images, type a prompt starting with a forward slash and then the word ‘imagine’. Copy the title of your first chapter, ‘Welcome to the Enchanting World of Magical Creatures’. Once the image generation is done, you’ll see two rows of buttons. The top row has options like U1, U2, U3, and U4, which help you upscale the chosen image to a larger version. The bottom row, labeled V1, V2, V3, and V4, generates four more variations of your selected image. To save the image, right-click on it, choose ‘Open link’, and then right-click again to select ‘Save’ and download it to your device. Repeat these steps for the second image, ensuring that it matches the style of the first image.
Here’s a useful tip: when writing the description of the new image, paste the image link before describing its details. This method helps maintain consistency throughout the process. Keep repeating these steps for all the images you need.
Step 3: Now that we have the images ready, let me show you how to create a professional-looking storybook by combining the text from ChatGPT with the images from Mid-journey. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Go to Canva.com and search for a storybook template.
- Choose ‘Create a blank storybook’ from the available options.
- Upload the images generated by the AI to Canva.
- Use Canva’s easy drag-and-drop feature to place the first image into the template.
- Now, access ChatGPT and copy the beginning part of the story.
- Paste the copied text onto the image in the template.
- Feel free to customize the text to your liking by changing the color, font style, adding shadows, and more. Canva offers these customization options.
- Repeat these steps for each chapter of the book, adding the AI-generated images and text to the duplicated templates.
- Once all the chapters are done, save the final storybook as a PDF.
Now that our ebook is ready, it’s time to publish it for people to buy. There are many platforms available, like Gumroad, but I prefer Amazon KDP, so that’s where I’ll publish it.
