Now, you might be thinking, what’s the big deal? Well, after some digging, I was astounded by the kind of money these vendors pull in from selling basic storybooks.
For example, one book has 2,550 ratings. Multiply that by its selling price of $6.47, and you find that this seller has pocketed over sixteen thousand dollars from just this book. Another example has made over eighty-one thousand dollars. And you know you can publish these books at zero cost using Amazon KDP.
Then I thought, why not create a similar book using chatGPT, get it up on Amazon, and earn some passive income while sleeping? That’s why I’m making this video to teach you how you can make that amount of money by doing the same.
As you’re probably aware, the first step to crafting a compelling storybook is to write an engaging story concept. So, I prompted the chatbot to produce a title for a children’s storybook. The initial suggestion was ‘The Magical Garden,’ but I wanted something more thrilling. Finally, I settled on ‘The Adventures of Tommy and Timmy: The Search for the Lost Treasure.’
Next, I asked the chatbot for more about the story. It told me that the book is for kids aged five to eight and is about two young friends who go on a big adventure to find lost treasure in the jungle. I really liked this idea, so I decided to go with it.
The next thing to do was make a plan for the story. The chatbot helped by making a list of chapters, each with scenes and lots of details. For example, Chapter One is called ‘The Lost Treasure,’ Chapter Two is ‘The Wise Old Parrot,’ Chapter Three is ‘The Mischievous Monkey,’ Chapter Four is ‘The Thieves,’ and Chapter Five is ‘The Hero’s Welcome.’
Now that the outline for the story is ready, we can begin to make the actual story content. I used chatGPT to write a rhythm story for each chapter. If I wasn’t satisfied with the result, I could get a new version until I liked it. I did this for every chapter, and it didn’t take long to see that I now had a whole story in front of me. This story is ready to turn into a book that could make me passive income, and I didn’t have to write a thing myself.
Now, let’s move on to the illustrations. Usually, you might spend a lot of money on artists to make those drawings. But what if I said that every picture you see here was made by an AI art machine for free? That’s right. I used mid-journey, an AI art generator, to create all the illustrations for my storybook. It’s easy to use, and you don’t need to be a designer. Plus, it’s free.
To make your own picture, you start by typing ‘/imagine’ and then describe what kind of picture you want. You can use the story parts you made earlier as a guide. Once the picture is ready, you can choose different versions of it. I selected the ones that fit my story topic the best.
With all the pictures ready, it’s time to put them together with the text. I used Canva, a user-friendly design tool, to create my storybook. I simply dragged and dropped the pictures into the template and added the text using the story parts I made with chatGPT. Canva allows you to customize the text and style to your liking.
Once the storybook is complete, save it as a PDF. Now, there’s just one more step to start earning money while you sleep: getting your book up on Amazon. I can’t go through the whole process here, but there are guides available to help you with that.
