How to Access Dolly 3 and Boost Your Microsoft Bing Image Creator

Everyone seems to be raving about the new Dolly 3 and chatGPT. Unfortunately, I still do not have access to it, even though I have been a paid subscriber since day one. If you are like me and still do not have access to Dolly 3 from your OpenAI account, do not worry. We can still get access to it by using Microsoft Bing Image Creator. However, keep in mind that you will only get 100 credits, and these credits are not daily credits. I thought they were daily credits and went on a generating rampage. I decided to stop at around 50 credits and when I checked back a couple of days later, I realized that the credits do not refill daily. So, just keep that in mind. By the way, I call them credits, but Microsoft refers to them as boosts. If you are wondering how to refill your boosts, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see how Microsoft rewards work with Image Creator. If you run out of boosts, you have the option to use Microsoft rewards to redeem for additional boosts and enjoy faster processing times. When you run out of boosts in Image Creator, you will also be reminded that you have the option to redeem Microsoft rewards points for more boosts. Microsoft is really trying hard to get everyone to switch over to their products, and I have to admit they are stepping it up and getting better. As for me, I am still stuck using Google Chrome. Yes, I am just stuck in my ways. I decided to create a new Microsoft account and ended up with only 25 boosts. So, maybe the 100 credits are only for older accounts. Either way, that is what it is. If you create a new account, you will have 25 boosts. I was interested in getting more points or boosts, so I ended up on the Microsoft Rewards website. It looks like if you do daily tasks, you will earn reward points, which you can later exchange for boosts. I burned up all of my 25 credits on this account to see what I needed to do to get more boosts. I tried searching on how to get boosts, but all I could find was an FAQ. So, let’s burn these credits and go from there. Let’s head over to bing.com/images/create. I’m going to try something with text, such as typography design with words saying ‘Learn more with AI’. Not bad, but still far from perfect. Let’s try again without the word ‘controversy’. Let’s see how it does. As you can see, here are the results. However, it seems to struggle with text. Let’s try some other prompts. A monkey holding a sign that says ‘I’m a monkey’. Wow, this is nice. Okay, I’m going to mess around a bit more to burn up the rest of these credits. Wow, these shark photos are really incredible. I love these images. I really love these images. They are so cool. However, if you follow me, you know I always use to prompt a photo of a cyborg. So, let’s try that. Dolly 3 is simply amazing. I’ll go to the Mid Journey website and take some prompts to see how it stacks up. Wow, after doing this prompt, I wonder if Dolly 3 can do repeatable patterns. Okay, let’s see if this is a seamless repeatable pattern. I’m going to fire up Photoshop to see. Okay, so it’s not seamless. Let me try with the other patterns. Well, it doesn’t look like it can produce seamless patterns. Let’s continue. So, this warning popped up and it’s saying that my account can get suspended if I continue to prompt flagged content. Let’s look at their content policy. Not sure what triggered that, maybe ‘fantasies’ or one of the artist’s names. Anyways, let’s continue. And I am officially out of credits, AKA boosts. Let’s see what happens now. It looks like I have a 5-minute wait without having these boosts. So, it seems without the boosts, we just have to wait in between our generations. During this time, we can’t generate anything new. So, there we have it. When I clicked on the boost icon, it says ‘Create faster with Microsoft Rewards. Image generation takes longer without credits. Want to speed it up? Use 500 rewards points for five more boosts.’ So, we need 500 reward points for five boosts. Let me see how hard it is to get 500 reward points. I just noticed it says ‘Don’t mind waiting. Your boosts will refresh weekly.’ So, hopefully, my other account that had 100 boosts will reset back to 100 in a week. However, let’s see how these reward points work. Here’s what it says: ‘Oops, you don’t have any points. You can earn more rewards points by searching with Bing or completing daily activities. Earn now with Microsoft Rewards.’ So, let’s click this and see what we got. So far, it looks like I got about 55 reward points on this new account. Let me click on ‘Earn’ so we can see how hard it actually is to earn points. Straight off the bat, it looks like we got an easy 100 bonus points. Let’s claim that. Oops, it didn’t seem to work. Let me try again. Okay, there we go. Now I got 155 points. Let me see what else I can do to score some points. Looks like we got some test polls, complete puzzles. Let me try that. This puzzle was taking me a while, and after so long, I quit. To me, it just wasn’t worth the potential 10 reward points. Maybe if it was like some capture puzzle or something, it would be worth 10 points. But a full-blown puzzle taking over 5 minutes to solve? No thank you. So, I went back and tried a bunch of different things, from polls to searches, etc. And after around 15 minutes of doing these small challenges, I ended up with a total of 275 reward points. These challenges were easy, just time-consuming. However, for me, it just wasn’t worth it. Yes, I’ll have to wait a week for my points to refill, or I could just create a new account and get 25 starter points on that account. Either way, Dolly 3 is simply amazing. All right, so here’s the deal. Dolly 3 and chatGPT are getting all the hype. But if you can’t get in on that, Microsoft’s Bing Image Creator is your next best bet. Just watch those credits or boosts, as they call it. They don’t refill every day. Microsoft is pushing hard for us to use their stuff, and yeah, they’re getting good at it. But some of us are still team Google Chrome. And if you’re like me, getting more boosts or reward points can be a bit of a grind. I tried out different ways to score points. Some were easy, but just took too much time. So, I’ll be waiting for my boosts to refill next week, or maybe I’ll start a new account for that quick 25. Dolly 3 is cool and all, but the Bing Image Creator is also stepping up. So, if you’re out of boosts, just chill. They’ll come back. Until then, have fun experimenting. But be careful with those prompts. You don’t want to get flagged. And that’s it for today’s video. If you found it helpful or just plain entertaining, hit that like button. And hey, if you want to stick around for more, don’t forget to subscribe. Catch you in the next one.
