Figma Weekly: Updates, Variables, and HTML to Design

Hello everyone and welcome to the latest episode of Figma Weekly, your one-stop source for the latest news and resources on Figma. Today, we’re going to be talking about some updates that have been made to variables, Jambot - the latest way to bring AI and chatGPT into Figma, and HTML to Design - a plugin that allows you to convert websites into layouts right in Figma.

Let’s start with the updates to variables. This is still a beta feature, but if you’re not comfortable with variables, I recommend checking out the Figma tutorial on using variables like a pro by Design of the Rash. It’s my favorite tutorial on variables and will help you understand how to use them effectively.

Now, let’s dive into Jambot. Jambot is a plugin that brings the power of chatGPT right into Figma. It allows you to brainstorm ideas, get similar suggestions, ask questions, explore rabbit holes, rewrite text, and even generate code. It’s a versatile tool that can assist designers in various ways.

Lastly, let’s talk about HTML to Design. This plugin enables you to convert websites into Figma layouts. Simply enter the URL of the website you want to convert, and the plugin will import the elements, including editable text and vectors. While it may not capture the motion and scrolling functionality, it provides a great starting point for designing in Figma.

That’s it for this week’s episode of Figma Weekly. Don’t forget to hit the thumbs up and subscribe to the channel for more Figma updates and resources. Stay tuned for the next episode!
