In this video, I will show you how to create a quiz from documents in your Google Drive using Google Forms. This method can be used with any document on your computer, but for this example, we will use two different documents from my Google Drive.
To start, click on ‘New’ and select ‘Google Forms’ to create a blank quiz. Then, install the ‘GPT Quiz Generator’ add-on by clicking on the three dots, scrolling down to ‘Get add-ons’, and searching for ‘GPT Quiz Generator’. Install the add-on and give it access to your Google account.
Next, go back to the Google Form and name it accordingly. In this example, we will create a syllabus quiz based on the rules and policies in a syllabus document. Copy the text from the syllabus document and paste it into the add-on. Choose the question type (multiple choice, checkboxes, or dropdown) and click on ‘Generate Questions’. This may take a few minutes depending on the length of the text.
Once the questions are generated, you can review and modify them if needed. Proofread the questions for accuracy and make any necessary corrections. Finally, click on ‘Add Questions to Form’ to add the generated questions to your quiz.
To create a quiz from an article, follow the same steps but instead of copying and pasting the text, use the ‘Load Text from Google Doc’ option in the add-on. Select the folder and file where the article is located, review and modify the text if necessary, choose the question type, and generate the questions.
That’s it! You have now created quizzes from documents in your Google Drive using Google Forms and the GPT Quiz Generator add-on. Remember to customize the quiz settings according to your preferences before sharing it with your students.
