Creating a Video Game with Unity and Chad GPT

Man, oh wow, look at that! Superhero didn’t die, can jump that far. Great, hey anybody home? Okay, let’s see if I can get it on that rooftop. Nope, too fat. And let’s get at it! Oh wait, what? I created this scene, I don’t know where to go. Wrong way. Alright, let’s find a cool place to stop so we can look cool. Uh, okay, it’s not a cool place but I guess it’ll work for now.

Hey, hey, hey everybody! Welcome to the channel. My name is Lobo, the channel is called Mt Game Dev. Mt simply stands for Montana, and that’s where I’m from. Alright, let’s just go straight to the point. What is this channel all about? It’s just about a guy like me who is trying to create a cool video game using Unity game engine and Chad GPT. I love Unity, been using it for the last few years and I’ve learned a lot. Now, Chad GPT, I’m only going to be using Chad GPT for coding. That’s it. I want to make sure also that everyone knows this is not a tutorial channel. However, if there are things that you want me to show you how I did it, I’m more than happy to show you as well. All you have to do is leave comments down below and I’ll go from there. Alright guys, this is just an introduction of what this YouTube channel is all about and I’ll see you guys in chapter two.

Alright everyone, welcome back to chapter two. This is what Unity looks like in my personal opinion. Unity looks great, it is easy to learn, and it’s super clean for the video game that I’m trying to create. Unity is going to work perfectly. Do not get entangled into which engine is the best, because there are only two questions you need to ask yourself: what game am I trying to create, and who’s got the best tools for me? Then just choose your engine and go from there. Alright, when you start a brand new scene, it’s always blank. So you have to throw a Terrain in. Once you throw your Terrain in, you have to create your world. Now, all I’m trying to do is create a proof of concept. If I can create this proof of concept and make sure that it works by throwing a whole bunch of stuff in it, it will give me the green light to go full throttle with my video game. So, this proof of concept is super important and crucial that I am successful with it. Alright, now from this, I turned it into this. Again, I already had in my head what it’s supposed to look like, and so this is the terrain that I chose by creating it from this flat terrain that you saw before. Now, let’s click on this perspective person here. You always need a perspective character to make sure that your world is somehow real to this person’s perspective. So, that was important for me to put this character in there. It’s just a rectangle, but it’s close enough and it works. From this, I created the final version of my proof of concept which looks like this. Now, again, to me, this looks pretty good, and that’s all I’m gonna need to make sure that everything works. I also added a tunnel and a lake. Each section will consist of a personal stage that the character is gonna have to go through. If somehow I can manage to have Chad GPT create a code that will allow me to go from each stage to each stage, that’s when I know everything is going to work perfectly. So again, Unity is to create the world, Chad GPT is to code scripts that will make the world work, and that to me is why I really need Chad GPT to work for me for this. Let’s click on the perspective character again so that we can see it from its eyes. Okay, this is how the world looks like when it’s all painted down, and it looks pretty good. Alright, this concludes chapter two and in chapter three we’re gonna add a whole bunch of prefabs that I simply created from Unity itself to give me more of a perspective where I want everything to be. Alright guys, I’ll see you in chapter three.

Alright everybody, welcome back to chapter three. As you guys can see, it is now populated with a whole bunch of stuff. The scene has a whole bunch of stuff in it which is exactly what I wanted it to look like before I decided to throw all of my third party assets into this proof of concept, which are the third party assets I would also use for my real game. I decided to simply create some fake 3D perspectives proof of concept using Unity’s simple 3D object tools here and populate the scene to give me the visual of what this proof of concept is supposed to look like. Now, when it is all said and done, is it going to look exactly like this? No, but it’s enough to give me that visual that I’m looking for, and this is exactly what I like. Alright, oh and as you guys can see, the day-night cycle has cycled. Let’s go into the tunnel, see what’s going on. Aha, the invisible wall. Alright, let’s go back to the start and see if we can go upstairs. Alright, here’s the other house. Hey, anybody home? Okay, let’s keep going. The lighting looks darker than usual, meaning I’m going to have to go into the lighting system and allow this guy to illuminate our terrain a bit more, which is fine. All of these are just aftermath things that you have to do for now. We just want to see the terrain, see if I can get it on that rooftop. Nope, too fat. It’s okay. The atmospheric environment looks really cool in this area. It’s just Unity’s simple fog system, and it works. Alright, let’s go back here. Everything’s gonna look different once we put in the third party asset environment that will give us way better results. And also, I will be adding a third-party asset controller which will be what we will need to make the game work properly. But this simple control that was created by Chad GPT, it works for now. Oh, look at that, the sun has risen. Now let’s go and shift through our different frames and see what we got. Alright, guys, I hope you guys enjoy these videos. This is Vlog one of my video game. Alright, guys, my name is Lobo, the channel is called Mt Game Dev. I hope you dig this video. If you do, like and subscribe, share the video with all your friends, and know that you also can do this. Alright, guys, thanks a lot for watching. We’ll see you guys next time. Catch you later!
