Creating a Chatbot for Product Hunt

Creating a Chatbot for Product Hunt

Red Port

Today, I am going to create a chatbot for Product Hunt. I will name this chatbot ‘Product Hunt Bot’. Now, let’s discuss the type of chatbot we want to create. Will this chatbot be based on a custom knowledge base or will it simply search Google for answers? For now, I will provide my own knowledge base specifically prepared for Product Hunt.

To create the chatbot, I click on ‘Create’ and then ‘Edit’ to provide all the necessary details, including the appearance and other settings. One unique feature of Cluso is that each chatbot can have its own exclusive OpenAI key. This is beneficial for agencies that can sell different chatbots to their clients with different OpenAI keys and settings.

Next, I provide my OpenAI key and set the temperature. A higher temperature gives more creative and accurate results. I select the GPT 3.5 Turbo 16k model since I don’t have access to GPT4. Then, I save the settings.

Now, I need to provide the Pinecone settings. Pinecone is a vector database that stores all the data from your documents and website links. The best part is that Pinecone is free. Each Pinecone account provides nearly 600 MB of space, which is equivalent to 20 million characters. This is more than enough for a single chatbot.

To create a Pinecone account, you can visit the Pinecone website and sign up. Once you have an account, you can associate it with your chatbot.

After setting up Pinecone, I move on to the appearance settings. Here, I can customize the colors and avatars for the chatbot.

The next important step is to provide a detailed prompt for the chatbot. This prompt guides the chatbot on how to respond to user commands. I give a welcome message and add some preset questions for users to interact with.

To provide a custom dataset, I upload a PDF file that contains information about Product Hunt. This dataset will be used by the chatbot to provide accurate answers.

Once all the settings are complete, I generate the code and paste it into the header of my website. This allows the chatbot to appear on the website.

Finally, I save and publish the website. Now, when users visit the website, they can interact with the chatbot and get information about Product Hunt.

I hope this article helps you in creating your own chatbot for Product Hunt. Thank you for reading!
