Comparing Notion AI and ChatGPT: A User's Perspective

Hi everyone and welcome back to the Organized Notebook. In this video, we wanted to talk about a topic that is interesting to many of you: AI and specifically Notion AI compared to ChatGPT.

As users, we are still quite new to using AI, so we’re not experts on this topic. However, we can share our experience and how we feel as users.

The first thing we wonder about when comparing Notion AI and ChatGPT is the machine learning technology Notion AI is using. According to an article by Thomas Frank, Notion AI is likely using OpenAI’s GPT-3 language processing models to generate text. Although this information is not 100% confirmed, if it’s true, Notion AI might be slightly behind compared to the current version of ChatGPT, which is GPT-3.5.

Another aspect to consider is the pricing. Notion AI is cheaper than the premium version of ChatGPT. Notion AI costs $10 a month, while the premium ChatGPT costs $20 a month.

When it comes to summarization, Notion AI provides a concise summary, while ChatGPT tends to be more creative and uses flowery language. Notion AI’s articles are straightforward, while ChatGPT’s articles sound more human and have more character.

Notion AI has a unique feature that allows you to create databases and use AI properties. For example, you can create an AI summary property that automatically summarizes the content you input into the database. This is useful for quickly processing a large amount of information and getting the key points without having to read the entire text.

In conclusion, both Notion AI and ChatGPT have their strengths. Notion AI is practical and provides concise summaries, while ChatGPT is more interesting and human-like in its responses. Notion AI’s AI properties and database capabilities offer a unique advantage for organizing and processing information. However, it’s important to fact-check the information provided by AI.

We would love to hear your impressions and experiences with Notion AI and ChatGPT. Please share your thoughts in the comments. Thank you for watching, and we hope to see you in the next video!
