In this video, I am going to show you a tip to combine ChatGPT with Mid-Journey and get really cool results. In the past, when I used Mid-Journey to write prompts for me, I would type something like ‘write a generative art prompt to create a picture of a lion.’ However, the prompts generated by Mid-Journey were not always what I wanted. So instead, I trained ChatGPT to write prompts the way I want them to be formed.
To do this, I created a new chat and trained it on the formula for my Mid-Journey prompts. For example, I would say ‘here is a Mid-Journey prompt formula: image, five descriptive keywords, camera type, camera lens type, type of day, style of photograph, type of film.’ Then, I would ask ChatGPT if it understands the formula. If it does, I would ask it to write me five Mid-Journey prompts for urban photography.
The prompts generated by ChatGPT followed the exact formula I provided. For example, it generated prompts like ‘image of a bustling city street, vibrant, energetic, diverse, chaotic, gritty, DSLR, wide-angle lens, late afternoon street photography, black and white film.’ If I wanted to remove the parentheses from the prompts, I could ask ChatGPT to rewrite them without the parentheses.
I found this method of combining ChatGPT with Mid-Journey to be a quick and effective way to generate creative prompts. I could specify the formula I wanted and let ChatGPT do the work for me. This can be especially useful for generating prompt ideas or creating a series of images with a consistent style.
