One week ago, I had never built a software tool. But within the past week, that has changed. I created an e-commerce dashboard using ChatGPT and Bubble. Here are five takeaways from my experience.
Firstly, the dashboard I built shows data from Shopify, Facebook ads, and Google Analytics. I can easily change the date range and analyze the store’s health based on contribution margin or MER. Although the aesthetics are not perfect, the core functionality of pulling and displaying data is there.

The second takeaway is that Bubble is like Shopify for web apps. I initially planned to use Python, but after one day of struggling, I switched to Bubble. The fourth takeaway is that AI and no-code tools have their limitations. While they can assist in building complex applications, understanding code and asking the right questions are still necessary. In my case, Bubble’s visual interface helped me grasp the concepts better.
