Boost Your Creativity with ChatGPT

Boost Your Creativity with ChatGPT

In a competition at Wharton Business School, two professors conducted an experiment pitted Wharton MBA students against ChatGPT in a contest to generate innovative ideas. The results might actually shock you. ChatGPT emerged victorious, scoring seven times higher than the grads on creativity. In the past, people didn’t think AI tools like ChatGPT could be creative, especially when it comes to thinking up new ideas or solving complex problems.

In today’s video, I’m going to share 10 ChatGPT prompts that will help to boost your creativity and save you time in your work and personal life. I’ve linked all of the prompts in the description below for you to steal and try out for yourself.

Thinking up good prompts that produce excellent content can be tough, and hardly anyone is getting the most out of ChatGPT and AI models for this very reason. But did you know that you can get ChatGPT to generate prompts for you? It’s a bit like one prompt to rule them all. We can use the prompt ‘You’re an AI designed to help’ and then insert whatever profession it is you do to generate a list of the 10 best prompts for yourself.

When it comes to writing, I’m always trying to make my writing stand out and be as succinct and creative as possible to grab people’s attention and keep them hooked. Writing is a skill that gets better with time, and ChatGPT can help us improve more quickly and give us some ideas when it comes to adding creative flair to our writing. For example, we can use the prompt ‘Proofread and upgrade’ where you first paste in a selection of your writing and then ask ChatGPT to proofread, edit, and upgrade the writing to make it more creative.

Generating ideas for your next project can be challenging, as often the ideas are generic and lack authority. Instead, ask ChatGPT to come up with new ideas or approaches on a familiar topic and to be as creative with the new ideas as possible. We can use the prompt ‘Brainstorm and give me a list of 20 ideas for’ and then insert whatever output it is you’re looking for, like a blog post, a landing page, or any project you’re working on.

Email writing is an essential skill, and it’s crucial to grab people’s attention and be to the point. ChatGPT can help make our emails more personal, succinct, and attention-grabbing. We can insert our email and then ask ChatGPT how would you rephrase this email to feel like a personal message from a close friend.

Good writing can hold people’s attention by spiking emotions in the reader. With ChatGPT, we can use the prompt ‘Rewrite this piece of text in a way that evokes a strong feeling of trust and safety’ or whatever emotion it is you want to spike.

Giving a speech can be daunting, especially for first-time speakers. ChatGPT can help us balance humor with formality and make a boring topic interesting. We can use the prompt ‘I’m writing a speech for a conference’ and then put in your topic and think of a pun or joke related to the topic to turn this into a funny opening line for your talk.

Problem-solving is one of the most desirable soft skills that companies look for when hiring senior managers. ChatGPT can be used to help you think of creative solutions to problems at work. We can use the prompt ‘Give me five step-by-step solutions to’ and then insert whatever problem it is we’re trying to solve for.

When setting goals or starting a new project, it’s important to think about how to get the desired outcome in the fewest number of steps. ChatGPT can suggest outcomes and ideas for getting to your goal as quickly and effectively as possible. We can use the prompt ‘I want to’ and then insert your task or goal to generate ideas.

Procrastination is something we all struggle with, especially when it comes to writing. ChatGPT can help us eliminate writer’s block and keep us inspired. We can use the prompt ‘I’m writing a blog post about’ and then insert your title to get a list of suggestions for the blog title.

Giving presentations can be time-consuming, but ChatGPT can help save loads of time and work. We can use the prompt ‘Outline’ and then add in additional instructions like the topic, audience, format, tone, and goal to generate an outline for pretty much any content.

There are lots of uses beyond creativity where ChatGPT can massively help you out. I highly recommend checking out this video, which explores even more prompts to make your life and career even better. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing, and I’ll catch you again in the next video.
