Best Neighborhoods in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

All right, it’s not a good idea to imagine a future dystopia, especially not in a Winston-Salem neighborhood real estate video. I don’t want to be like Morpheus or Sarah Connor, but let me put on my tinfoil hat for just a second. When the robots take over, they won’t be like the T1000s. They’ll come as Alexa, Siri, and chatGPT. So, in an effort to get on the good side of our robot overlords, I asked chatGPT what are the best neighborhoods in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Being serious though, this will be a good way to compare and contrast different areas if you’re thinking about moving here or moving within the area. I’ve also created a full Winston-Salem neighborhood playlist that I’ll link below. And if these neighborhoods aren’t in your wheelhouse, I made a video called ‘Hidden Gems’ where you can find some under the radar neighborhoods.

The first neighborhood according to chatGPT on the best neighborhoods in Winston-Salem list is Brookberry Farm. This neighborhood is built on what used to be a dairy farm and is located just north of downtown. It offers a variety of housing options, from luxury homes to smaller ones in the mid-five to six-figure price range. Brookberry Farm is known for its amazing amenities, including a clubhouse, pool, walking trails, lakes, and ponds.

The second neighborhood to check out is Buena Vista. It is located just west of downtown and is known for its historic homes and tree-lined streets. Buena Vista offers a range of price points, with small homes starting in the $400,000 range and going up to multi-million dollar properties. It also has great proximity to shopping options like Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.

Next on the list is West End, which is connected to downtown and known for its changes in elevations and windy streets. It is a walkable neighborhood with a mix of housing options, ranging from the upper threes to million-dollar new construction homes. West End is currently undergoing redevelopment and has a lot of new and exciting things happening, including new restaurants and shops.

Ardmore is another neighborhood worth considering. It is known for its proximity to hospitals and downtown, as well as its eclectic and community-oriented vibe. Ardmore offers a mix of housing options, from small homes in the low to mid $200,000 range to million-dollar properties. It has a sense of community and hosts various neighborhood events.

The last neighborhood on the list is Sherwood Forest. It has a suburban feel and larger lots compared to the other neighborhoods. Sherwood Forest features big, traditional or Georgian-style homes from the 80s and 90s, with prices ranging from the mid-fours to the upper fives. It offers a quieter, more suburban lifestyle while still being close to amenities and downtown.
