In this video, we will explore the documentation of the Twitch API and demonstrate how to set up an automation using Zapier. We will use our own profile as an example and set up an animation that sends a specific type of tweet to our Twitter account whenever we start a new stream.
To begin, we will create a new app in Zapier called ‘Twitch Integration’. We will set up a trigger for a new live stream by the streamer, which in this case is us. Then, we will use the stream data to generate a tweet using the GBT model. We will include keywords and fixed text in the tweet, such as ‘PS5 giveaway’ and ‘watch now’. Finally, we will send the tweet to Twitter, including the stream thumbnail and a link to the live stream.
Zapier provides a seamless integration with Twitch, allowing us to access the Twitch API and perform actions that are not natively available within Zapier. For example, we can create clips using the post function.
