Oh wait, is this water real? Epic moment. Is this the way I die? The music tells me I’m gonna die here. Oh, look at that, look at my feet. Placement. There shall be water. That’s great, it’s raining. As dark. I’m gonna die. Let’s get closer now. Flashlight on. Zombie noises. Ghost. Epic moments. Ah yes, a little bit of sway in the wind. Epic moment. I got some light messing up here. Whoa, what is wrong with my foot? I think I broke my foot. Everybody, okay, but no, I’m okay now. Can I swim? No, that’s just great. Hey, hey, hey everybody. Welcome to the channel. My name is Lobo. The channel is called MTE Game Dev. MTE stands for Montana, where we love our state. For those of you who are Montanans watching this right now, oh, dude, I’m so sorry, man. Just kidding. Leave a like, subscribe, leave a comment down below why we Montanans are the greatest. Alright, I got two questions and those two questions I’ll answer. Question number one is, dude, you don’t care if this channel gets monetized or not. What do you do for a living? Because there’s a belief that this channel could go far and grow into a bigger audience. If it does, man, I will be super grateful. But if it doesn’t, it’s okay too. I just want to build an audience. This is what I do for a living and I’m super grateful that I get to do this every day. I’m so humbled by it too. Every day, I get to do what I love, every day I get to wake up and I get paid well to be a counselor. I get to help people through the difficulties of life, to get you to a place where you finally see the abundance of your creation. We all have to change for the better and that’s the beauty of life. You have to change for the better from the day you’re born till the day you go underground. And that is one of the main keys that I always tell people. Let’s flip around here and see what we got going on. Ah yeah, you’ve guessed it. This character is Lobo. We are living in the age of technology. I wanted to create a game where I was a character in it, and the main character. I wanted to create a cool game that I would be part of, and to me, that is like, wow, this is so cool that we can do that today. Game engines are free, chat is free, Blender is free, why not do it? Okay, question number two was, hey man, what is the game all about? Well, I gotta be honest with you, I’m gonna disappoint you. It’s a zombie game. This zombie game is so story-driven. What I want out of this is to evoke emotions out of people, and in hopes that it connects you to these characters, and you feel for them. And then you make these choices with them, and you want to go back into your own personal life and make these better choices for yourselves. And you start to understand the problem that you couldn’t understand by playing these characters. This is what happens when you let a counselor make a video game. It could be a complete disaster. If it is, I’ll take full responsibility. You know, better than me. But if it all turned out great, then you know, I’ll thank everyone who’s part of this process. Um, I’ll give you a little bit more because I think I owe you guys that. So you’ll be playing three characters, and they’re all connected. All of them are simply trying to get home. He wants to get to her, and she has other missions too that she needs to get through. But at the end, they want to get to each other. And all through the whole entire game, they make sacrifices, they learn to compromise, they learn to change for the better. They have to face their own imperfections in order to change for the better. People all through the game will teach them how to be better. Dude, I know you just had that moment with me too, but that’s it for that. Alright guys, hopefully this was enough for you guys to go, ‘Man, this is what I want.’ And I will see you guys in part two. Alright guys, welcome back to part two. Let’s pile through part two. Every light source has a volumetric system that gives the environment what I want it to look like. I want this to be like a very zombie-esque looking. And I continue to, of course, have things that the characters could interact with, like this flashlight. But I do have to fix it because it looks weird on the character. I added more rocks here and there to just give it the true environmental atmospheric system that I want. So here, what else do we add here? These swings, at first I was like, man, do I really want these swings to swing? It’s gonna be a lot of work just to extract these swings out of this. But it was well worth it because, like you saw in the video, just having these swings move back and forth, man, it just gave the environment more atmosphere that we want. Also, I added an environmental system item that goes through all of these presets here, which is really cool. So the game will definitely go through different kinds of weather to give it that realism. But plus, to also make sure that when a zombie shows up, it could be super dark. There’s a floating system on these two here. When the character got here, you looked at it, it gave the illusion that there’s life in this community. If you guys watch the other videos, characters kept falling through some areas. I could not forget what was wrong with it. I would have to restart a new terrain, and I don’t have time for that. So I kind of cheated and I just put all these metal frames all over the place where the character falls through, and that was that. I added some sounds here for the lights, so when the player walks through, you can hear the flickering sounds. Of course, I also added a flickering script to all these lights, so it would flicker the light and give it more of a like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m gonna die right here.’ Got a new lamp here just to give it some lights here, so when you walk here, it’s lit and it looks pretty cool. Of course, I added a bridge here because I’m having a hard time with the swimming system, and hopefully the developers will help fix that so that the player can actually swim. Okay, you did see some fireflies, right? I mean, I admit there are no purple or pink fireflies. It’s a zombie game, so maybe they got, you know, they fell into a toxic waste of some sort and they became purple fireflies. Ah yeah, something super easy, super cool that you probably saw when it was raining. It was dripping. The rain was dripping and another thing was these two were swinging back and forth with the wind. So stupid small, but it works. And this was making, um, you know, these wood noises and it works, it’s great. And again, this again, something small. The plants, you know, they sway with the wind. And when the player still walks through it, they sway with the character. Small, these are things you’ll never see and notice until you actually see it. You’re like, ‘Oh cool, oh.’ And of course, the bathroom. Hey, you know what, everybody’s gotta use the bathroom. Okay, the last thing I added was, as you guys saw, when we walked through each different phase and sections, music was playing. And I hope that the music that I played for you guys set the mood of what kind of game this is going to be like. I hope this was enough for you guys to entice you to return to the channel, to bring your friends, to subscribe to the channel.
