All right, guys. So the first thing you want to do is head over to HostGator.com. I’ll make sure to leave the link in the description below. They have really affordable plans starting at $3.75 a month, and I’ve been using them for over 10-12 years now. I love their 24/7 customer service and how easy it is to get a hold of them. They are always available to help you. That’s why I would recommend HostGator.
To get started, click on the ‘Get Started’ button on their website. The first thing you want to do is get your domain. I recommend starting with the Hatchling plan, which allows you to get one domain. Later on, you can upgrade to the Baby plan if you need more websites and storage.
Once you’ve chosen your domain, you can check if it’s available. HostGator will show you the available options. Choose a domain that suits your needs. You can also add domain privacy if you don’t want to receive phone calls from telemarketers.
Next, choose the billing cycle. I recommend starting with the one-year plan, which is $4.95 per month. You can always renew your service later. Fill in your email address and create a security pin.
In the billing information section, I recommend checking off all the add-on options, as HostGator already includes SSL with the plan. This will reduce your total price.
Before checking out, enter the coupon code ’leadagent’ for an even better discount. This will bring down the price to $49 per year.
Once you’ve entered the code, click on the ‘Check Out’ button. Your domain will take 24 to 48 hours to propagate and get into the hosting system. After that, you can install WordPress on your website.
To install WordPress, go to the control panel on HostGator’s website and click on ‘Install WordPress’. Follow the instructions to install WordPress on your domain.
