Welcome to today’s class! In this session, we will be teaching you how to use Chai GPG to create real applications. Today, we will focus on component development, specifically the Component Prompt Essentia in React.js.
A component is an arrangement and positioning of various elements on a web page. Since React.js is all about UI and user interface design, components play a crucial role in splitting code, encapsulation, debugging, and reusability. Components have names, props, elements, state, and conditional rendering.
To generate a component using the prompt approach, we will use the Component Prompt Essentia in React.js. This prompt allows you to create a functional component with a name, props, elements, and a simple description. It includes input fields, text, linked dropdowns, and a form submission.
In our demo, we will switch to our React.js application and modify the Essential List component to accept the form value. We will also style the component using CSS.
To display the form value, we will pass it as a prop to the Display component. The Display component will map through the form value and create the necessary elements. We will also apply CSS styling to make it look like a prompt.
In the next class, we will continue with component development and explore advanced styling techniques. Stay tuned!
